PRCA Rodeo

Sunday, August 8th - Tuesday, August 10th, 2021

The 2021 Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo, presented by Pedersen Toyota, will make its return to the Budweiser Events Center at The Ranch on August 8-10. Get ready for the action as the rodeo kicks off at 7 p.m. each night starting Sunday, August 8. This three-day event, ending Tuesday, August 10, will be an experience you won’t want to miss.


This year’s PRCA Rodeo boasts award-winning bullfighters each night, plus Hall of Fame Stock Contractor Beutler and Son Rodeo Company who have been producing some of the largest, most popular rodeos across the United States since the 1930’s.


The 2021 Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo intermissions are set to please all who attend. Opening night, August 8, is “Local Heroes Night: Honoring Military and First Responders,” sponsored by Occidental. On Monday, August 9, the intermission will feature the 4-H Parade of Champions, sponsored by Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply, which showcases the hard work of the Larimer County 4–H livestock champions. And new this year for Tuesday, August 10 only, the first 1,000 ticketed rodeo guest through the doors will receive a Rodeo Clown Bobblehead souvenir sponsored by Thompson River Pediatrics. All three nights will include the fan favorite Mutton Bustin’.

Mutton bustin’ is a crowd favorite! The audience cheers as kids play cowboy and do their best to hang on to a sheep as it runs across the rodeo arena.

Participation is limited to kids ages 5-7 and weighing under 50 lbs. at the time of the competition.There will be a limit of 10 kids per show. The participant will get a ticket to the rodeo, parents must purchase their tickets. 

Registration will close on August 5th. A random drawing will take place and winners will be notified by August 7th. Only the winners will be notified.

Contestant Highlights

The 2021 PRCA Rodeo will have 38 contestants who entered that are currently sitting in the top 20 of the PRCA and WPRA World Championship standings in their perspective events, as well as several past World Champions who entered. They span across all 7 events, including the #1 and #2 ranked cowboys in the Saddle Bronc event, brothers Ryder Wright and Stetson Wright. 


23 year old Ryder Wright competes in Saddle Bronc and is a 5 time National Finals Rodeo (NFR) qualifier. He is a 2 time World Champion and the defending 2020 World Champion. He is currently standing as #1 in the world. Ryder is entered to compete at the Sunday night performance.


22 year old Stetson Wright competes in both Saddle Bronc and Bull riding. He is a 3 time NFR qualifier and a 3 time World Champion, 1 time and defending 2020 Bull Riding World Champion and 2 time and defending 2020 All Around World Champion. Stetson who is currently ranked #2 in world in Saddle Bronc as well as #2 in the world in Bull Riding is entered to compete at the Monday night performance.
