Blue Arena to Change Its Name to Blue Arena in Fall 2023
Blue Federal Credit Union has acquired the naming rights for the Blue Arena. The arena will be formally renamed the Blue Arena in October 2023.
For over 70 years, Blue has been working in Wyoming and Colorado to bring a new kind of financial institution to our community. One that understands the importance of a local connection and knows that living a well-balanced life is key. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, CO, will soon be renamed the Blue Arena.
Blue has grown to serve over 115,000 members worldwide and manages over $1.8 billion in assets. Through it all, we have continued to prioritize the needs and experiences of the residents in our home region. The Front Range is where we got our start. It is where many of our members, and many of us, live, work and play. The opportunity to support Larimar County by helping to usher the iconic Budweiser Event Center into its new era was a no-brainer. This investment in one of the region’s biggest event venues will open the area up to exciting new possibilities.
Over the last 20 years, the Budweiser Event Center has hosted some unforgettable events. Back in ‘03, the Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers played a sold-out exhibition game. More recently, the Colorado Eagles hit a new record in minor-league hockey with their 145th-game sell-out.
This year the Budweiser Event Center will celebrate a much-deserved 20th anniversary. Along with that celebration, its new identity as the Blue Arena will harken a new chapter for this important institution. Over the next several years, we have an unbelievable variety of events planned. With seating for more than 6,000 fans and 8,000 concertgoers, there will be more than enough room for the residents of Larimar County and beyond to come together and create memories.
Working together, Blue will be able to better support the Arena and its efforts to provide opportunities that excite our community so we can continue building authentic connections that help the region thrive. This partnership deepens the strong relationship we have with Larimer County and allows us to amplify the passion we bring to our work of helping champion the goals, dreams, and opportunities of each of our members.
