Often described as gymnastics performed on horseback, vaulting dates back to the Roman games, where acrobatic displays were performed on cantering horses. We’re excited to welcome back Complete Equestrian’s Vaulting Team, a Northern Colorado group of vaulters of all ages and experience levels whose athletes compete in individual and team events and have earned recognition at regional and national competitions. Be sure to catch their demonstration showcasing the strength, balance, and teamwork that make vaulting such a unique and exciting sport!

The Larimer County Junior Rodeo is a long-standing community event hosted by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Posse. Held in conjunction with the Larimer County Fair, the Junior Rodeo features classic events that showcase the grit of our youth, while bringing together families, competitors, and spectators from across the region. The Larimer County Junior Rodeo is a tribute to the county’s rural roots, reinforcing community pride and the enduring traditions of rodeo. Come cheer on these young competitors and be part of the action!

Traveling to our Fair from Texas each year, Crystal shares a powerful message through horsemanship, bringing faith to life through storytelling and live demonstrations rooted in real ranch and rodeo experiences. Her ministry reaches audiences across the country at rodeos, fairs, and western events, using what she calls “cowgirl logic” to connect everyday life with deeper meaning. This unique experience offers a meaningful look at trust, communication, and partnership, both in and out of the arena. Open to all who want to start their day with purpose and reflection!

Colorado Regulators Mounted Shooting

Mounted shooting is one of the fastest-growing equestrian sports in the country, combining speed, precision, and horsemanship as riders race through a timed pattern while shooting at balloon targets with specially designed blank ammunition. The Colorado Regulators Mounted Shooting bring this high-energy competition to life, showcasing skilled riders and well-trained horses working in perfect sync. Rooted in Old West tradition, the sport challenges competitors to balance control and speed while maintaining accuracy under pressure. With the sound of shots echoing and horses navigating tight turns at a gallop, mounted shooting delivers a thrilling, fast-paced experience that highlights the trust and partnership between horse and rider, making it an exciting, can’t-miss event for spectators of all ages!

Come see the Colorado Draft Horse Association in action at the Fair, showcasing the strength, versatility, and steady temperament of these gentle giants. Their demonstrations feature traditional farm team events, where teams of horses and drivers work together through obstacle courses and chore-based challenges that reflect real working farm life, alongside driving and skill-based competitions that highlight precision, control, and communication. In addition to competition, the association is passionate about education and preserving agricultural traditions, offering a glimpse into how these horses have supported farming and ranching for generations.
